Fruit salad is just kick ass and really easy to make.
Just get a variety of fruits such as: strawberries, bananas, mangoes, watermelon, rockmelon, kiwis and any other fruits that you like or are in season.
Just cut them up into sensible chunks and mix them in a bowl and youre in for a fresh treat.
Making your own fruit salad like this is really the only way to do it, trust me and enjoy.

Who likes italian?
I have to include spaghetti bolognaise as a cheap yummy meal because it really is cheap and yummy.
Its easy to make too so i havent included any recipes but i do have a protip: make sure your mince is very saucy. Theres nothing worse than not putting enough saucy goodness in your mince and then theres no sauce going into your spaghetti and its all dry and tasteless.
Also cheese really makes this dish into a highly yummy meal. om nom nom
The great thing is you can say your having italian instead of just saying spaghetti bolognaise so people think your a real gourmet chef.

Take Away Food
Ok normally i wouldnt even think about suggesting takeaway for the urban survivalist but today i went to Subway and i have to say for $7 for a footlong with ham and ALL the salad thats not bad. Surely they cant be making much off that but i suppose they buy everything in extreme bulk. Ok its not the best value but for $7 its pretty reasonable and its healthy too. I would stay right away from any other takeway shops if youre looking for good value eats.

Is this pathetic? No its frugal
So last nights dinner consisted of tuna that had been in the fridge for 3 days opened, on toast with plenty of pepper and a little salt. Not the most tasty but it was alright. Oh thats right, i also had a can of spaghetti in tomato sauce, homebrand, on toast. Im ok with this.
Im going to have to buy some fresh vegetables of some sort though as ive been eating pretty bland food lately. I even had Mcdonalds yesterday for breakfast. Luckily i had dinner at a freinds the other night and his mother cooked us green beans, boiled, sweet potato mashed. There was some little weird pastry things and some mince and a corn cob. Had a really good desert to, yum.
PS big thanks to all commenters. Some great ideas there.

A list of value foods
Heres a list of things that are cheap and good value.
Potatoes Eggs (cant believe i forgot eggs, theyre really versatile too)
Rice
Tuna
Mince meat
Sausages
Chicken pieces
Noodles
Pasta
There are others too that i will add as i think of them but these things are usually always cheap. The main thing is try and look for specials on your meats and get to know your prices on things. For example mince meat usually comes in regular or premium quality. The regular is more fatty while the premium has less fat but is also about twice the price.
Add more in comments too if you know of any cheap foods.

Living on a budget
It can be hard to survive if youre a student or single person on a low income.
Thats why i suggest getting used to shopping smart and buying the generic brands which are usually just as good but substantially cheaper.

Mexican snack
To make a tasty mexican dish all you do is put some salsa over corn chips and then sprinkle with cheese.
Pop in the microwave until cheese has melted and voila! You now have the authentic mexican taste in your own home.
